iPhone 4 time off by 3-5 minutes

I just upgraded to the iPhone 4, and when I set the time to "automatic," it's off by 3-5 minutes. I've double checked multiple known time sources, and it's flat wrong. I've reset the phone multiple times as well and returned the settings to original OEM. Nothing.

I just set the time manually, but has anyone else had this issue?

Same issue here....my wife and I got new 3GS's on Sunday (7-18) and I've noticed that "my" time is slow "around" 4 mins.....her's "seems" to be more or less correct (haven't looked at her's closely yet). As has been mentioned, if I turn 3G off, the time is correct.....just seems strange that the problem isn't with "both" phones. I'm in northern Denton County TX (just north of DFW area).

**I tried the above and "thought" it was fixed....but it got off a little later **

You wouldn't think that the iPhone 4 would connect any differently than other phones to the network but, hey, what do I know?

Any ideas?

They do connect differently - IP4 is an HSUPA device...

ATT has announced that their towers which have Alcatel equipment have a software glitch when handling HSUPA devices... Alcatel is supposedly fixing the problem

Found this thread through a duckduckgo search. My iPhone 5s was off by about 1.5 minutes. I found this out when I was watching the WMATA (Washington DC Metro) website, giving my girlfriend real-time information on when the train was coming/going.

Anyway, I reset the network settings and the time is now accurate. I had to re-enter my wireless password as well, however.
