IPhone 4 Bluetooth Issues

IPhone 4 doesn't allow reasonable range and other issues with bluetooth headset. Fyi, tried with Apple Bluetooth headset which worked perfectly with IPhone 3G & IPhone 3G-S. Issue, you can have IPhone 4 in shirt or pant pocket and bluetooth will disconnect. Also, you can have IPhone 4 inside car and close the door while standing right outside the door and bluetooth disconnects. This never happened with previous models including IPhone 3G-S with IOS 4 installed.

Other bluetooth issues: as others reported - muffled sound quality to person your talking to. Time delays and disconnects with bluetooth Uconnect. IPhone 4 won't let you change between your car audio phone feature back to IPhone 4 without freezing.

It isn't fixed. In fact in my case it's worse. Apple needs to get this fixed and it should be compatible with all bluetooth headsets. This is unacceptable.

So far so good. Resetting the phone completely seems to have done the trick for me. I'm calling it fixed for now.

turned phone off, turned car off, tried again with no luck. third time. it works.

I have tried a number of headsets and found the Motorola HK202 works like a dream, clear and crisp. Never a problem.

The Plantronics Voyager Pro meets your criterion exactly. I have used it with my iPhone 4 for 3 months and it has worked very well since iPhone went to version 4.1 of the OS.

Those dropped call issues may have been related to OS 4.0 and OS 4.01 but I have had no problems with 4.1. Maybe you can get one with a 30 day money back guarantee somewhere.

iOS 4.1, using Motorola S9 bluetooth A2DP, listening to music the sound will intermittently drop and cut out. Anyone else having this issue? Headset use for phone calls seems fine.

Knock on wood, but the 4.2.1 update seems to have dramatically improved call quality for my in-car bluetooth. I'm hopeful Apple has found a solution!

Same issue with muffled sound from three different headsets. Connectivity is fine - no drop-offs, but constant complaint that I can't be understood. Problem worse since 4.2
