iPad will not connect (Ping or SSH) to MacBook Pro. Neither will see the other.
My iPad used to be able to SSH into my MacBook Pro using Blink on iOS.
I wanted to be able to use my iPad to SSH into my MacBook Pro from when I'm out of the house for programming purposes. My router would not let me forward any ports. In an attempt to find out what was going on there, I came across a couple suggestions for similar issues saying to try a different SSH port. So, I went into ssh.plist on my MBP and changed the default port to another port number. My router wouldn't take that either, so I knew it wasn't the port number. So, I changed the SSH port number on my MBP back to default 22. After doing this, my iPad will not Ping or SSH into my MBP and my MBP will not Ping my iPad. However, my iPhone XS Max, using the same Blink app and exactly the same settings, will Ping and SSH into my MBP perfectly.
When my iPad tries to Ping my MBP, and vice-versa, I get:
"PING 192.168.1.6 (192.168.1.6): 56 data bytes

When I try to SSH from my iPad into my MBP, it simply times out.
Does anybody have any idea what is going on? Any idea on how to fix it so my iPad can SSH into my MBP again? Any help is greatly appreciated.
