I'm trying to copy and paste a regions from one track to another by pressing command c, but when I press cmd v the pasted region is actually shorter than the copied region. I just started using logic btw. I basically opened the project from a GarageBand file and converted it to logic.

Alright, I suspect that changes in the region size happen because your project Tempo setting is "Auto". Try changing it to "Keep" to see if that makes a difference when copy-pasting regions.
Yea I mean midi by Instrument and audio by vocal. So as you can see, I tried to copy a midi region by doing cmd c, and then pasting it by doing cmd p, in a song, but the copy isn't the same length as the original. My logic version is 10.4.2. on my MacBook Air.
Are you talking about copy-pasting regions on tracks within the same project? Could you be more specific on: what kind of regions, version of Logic, your system specs?
Yea, I'm talking about within the same project, and also into different projects as well. Both vocal regions and instrument regions. I have Logic Pro x, on a Macbook air.
I'm also want to be able to copy and paste regions from one project into another one, without issues, but logic doesn't seem to allow that at all.

If it's pasting into another project, I guess the difference in region size might be because of the difference in tempo. Within the same project though, it might as well be a glitch. Hard to tell without a visual, though.
Could you at least specify the version of Logic? Is it 10.4.3?
As for the region type, there are two in Logic: MIDI and audio regions. So, I suppose, by "vocal" you mean "audio" and by "instrument" you mean "MIDI", correct?
