CarPlay and IPhone X

Trying to connect my phone to my vehicle CarPlay. It works with my sons iPhone 6; but will not connect with my iPhone X. Any ideas?

Go to Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions > Allowed Apps and make sure CarPlay is enabled.
