Create AppleID with email address

Hi,

I've got a domain registered with associated email addresses. the email format is firstname@lastname.cc

My wife, my son and myself have our email addresses as AppleIDs. Today I tried to set up an Apple ID for my daughter at https://appleid.apple.com/ but I get the error message "This email address is not available. Choose a different address."

When I try to look up the AppleID athttps://iforgot.apple.comI I receive the message "No Apple ID Found

We can’t find an Apple ID matching the information provided."

The email address of my daughter I am trying to use is not an Apple ID, so why is it not available when my son's email address was just a few days ago?

If the e-mail address was associated with an ID in any way, for example as a Reachable at or Rescue e-mail address, then it can't be reused with another Apple ID for approximately one year. I have also seen posts that stated Apple told them there was a 30 day waiting period before the address could be used again. You will need to get another e-mail address to use as your Apple ID.

Thanks Eric. The email address was indeed the 'contactable as..." email for the first name.lastname@icloud.com Apple ID

I removed it, rang Apple support and they reset something at their end.

Now I was able to set up the new AppleID (firstname@lastname.cc) but not with the correct birth date. For Children under 13, Apple does nonly allow @icloud.com Apple IDs. When entering an incorrect birthdate (that of a 17yo) i was able to create the AppleID, and to add my daughter to the family.

I then logged into her AppleID and changed the date of birth back to the correct one.
