disconnect childs ipad from my AppleID without losing their data

I bought an ipad mini for both of my kids some time ago -- first one I set up correctly with her own appleID and password, with family sharing enabled so I can still approve app requests etc. The second child I accidentally set it up as 'another device on my account', even though I created her own appleID it is linked to my appleID password and it is connected to my device, so it treats us as the same account, same photostream etc. What I want to do is disconnect it from my device, so that it is a device in it's own right using her own password and just connected via family sharing (which it currently is, like the other daughter), but if I simply click "remove device from my account" how do i sign her in with her own AppleID (already created) without risking losing any of the data on her current Ipad (ie her Minecraft worlds, photos and documents etc)? Just scared to take any steps in case we lose all her current data.

Her Minecraft worlds may be in jeopardy.

There may be some data loss, but you can minimize it. If syncing photos with iCloud, ensure Optimization is turned off in Settings/Your Name/iCloud/Photos and/or in Photos/Preferences/iCloud. Then make sure full resolution photos are on the device/computer. When signing out of iCloud, if asked whether you want to retain data, choose yes. Messages conversations will be lost if they are addressed to the ID. See the article below for other places that the old ID should be removed.
