Apple Watch bands

Does anyone know if the new bands will fit the 38 and 40 mm cases or if the old bands will fit the 40 and 44 mm cases?

The new 40mm fit the old 38mm and vice versa

The new 44mm fit the old 42mm and vice versa

This is one of the very good additions Apple made with the addition of the new Series 4 Editions
