Purchasing songs on iTunes after adding it through Apple Music

I've added some songs through Apple to iTunes playlists. When I try to go to the iTunes store to purchase the songs (to ensure access even if I cancel my Apple Music subscription) it does no give me the option to purchase - only the word "play" where the price of the song would normally be. How can I get around this issue and purchase the songs I want?
