iPhone XR camera issues

I’ve had my iPhone XR now for a couple of weeks and absolutely love everything about it apart from the camera! When in selfie mode (regular camera mode not portrait mode) all my photos look like I’ve moved my hand during taking the photo and every single photo has not only got a blurred background but the whole photo is off. There is absolutely nothing wrong with my phone (front facing lens etc) for this to be happening. I’ve looked into it been into some kind of mode that I could maybe switch off but nothing. I read how the portrait mode has the blurred effect keeping the main subject sharpe and in focus but none of my photos in selfie mode are in focus at all. Never had this problem with my iPhone 7 and was wondering if it could be possibly a problem with the phone

Has anybody else experienced this at all?

I see from your post that you are experiencing an issue with the front-facing camera of your iPhone XR where the picture quality is blurry or out of focus. I use my camera a lot for taking pictures and its important that all pictures come out in focus and look great. I want to help guide you to finding a lasting solution.

In this particular case, I recommending following the steps in this article called If the camera on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch isn't working, which gives lots of great troubleshooting and isolation steps you can try with your camera.

If the issue continues to persists, you can take your iPhone to an Apple Store or Authorized Service Provider for more help, just as the article recommends.
