Macbook pro 2012 hard drive as external can access my files

Hi Guys


i have a Macbook pro 2012 and i replaced the hard drive to an SSD and i want to use the old as external but i cant seem to access my files it has on the no entry sign?


what should i do ?

The no entry sign only applies to the boot drive.


It says "I tried to load MacOS, but a major component was found to be bad."


First step is to use Disk Utility repair your boot drive. if it comes clean after a few passes, try booting again.


Which drive are you trying to boot from?
