i started my mac and the screen is white - what do i do?
Try the following in order:
1 - reset the NVRAM: Reset NVRAM or PRAM on your Mac - Apple Support
2 - reset SMC: How to reset the System Management Controller (SMC) on your Mac - Apple Support
3 - boot into Safe Mode: Use safe mode to isolate issues with your Mac - Apple Support

History shows we are not skilled at guessing, so help us help you by doing "About this Mac..." from your Apple menu and telling us what it shows for model, sub-model, and OS version. Depending on your OS version, the resulting "About" window will be something like this:
