Webloc file - how to open?

I have tried to open a Webloc file I received from my doctor. When I open it in safari or firefox, all I get is a header and footer, but not the full report. Can you tell me how I can open it? Thank you!

Safari on Mac converts sites to pages On Safari, when I click a link in a webpage, it always converts to a standalone read format doc, and I can click no more.

search in finder window Search for a file in finder window does not work, even though I can see it in the window!

The only webloc file I am familiar with is the one produced when you drag the name/address of a webpage from the address box in the top of a Safari web browser window to your desktop.

This file is basically a shortcut to that webpage. When you double click on it Safari will then open that webpage.
