Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT

Looks like no one’s replied in a while. To start the conversation again, simply ask a new question.

How does this sort of split screen view happen?

It happens quite a few times without touching the screen and that really annoyed me. Does anyone know how to stop it?

Hello Whitekat,

Thanks for visiting the Apple Support Communities and asking about your display moving down. This feature is Reachability.

Please check this help article, there is a picture under the section for "Reach the top" Use gestures to navigate your iPhone X and later - Apple Support

You can go to Settings > General > Accessibility, and scroll down and tap Reachability to turn this off as well. Thanks and have a wonderful day.
