Since upgrading to Mojave my dashboard won't open.

Since upgrading to Mojave my dashboard won't open. Neither will LaunchPad or Mission Control. How can I fix this. I have a 2013 MacBook Air

Thanks! I can only get to Mission Control from the system preferences, not from the dock. From there, I was successful in changing the dashboard from "as space" to "as overlay" and it now comes up from my dock. However, below that, under keyboard and mouse shortcuts, the only thing that will work is the dashboard using F12. None of the other shortcuts work. I can still only open the launchpad and mission control from applications, not the dock.

I just did a restart and all seems to be in order now. However, since upgrading to Mojave, the restarts take at least five minutes to complete. I still had the dock/dashboard problems with Mission Control, Launch Pad after having done multiple shut downs and restarts since upgrade. In the future, I do a restart before hitting the forums. Thank you very much for the rapid response and suggestions. Merry Christmas!
