How many GB to you recommend for ipad for children

We want to purchase Ipads for our 7 year olds. We want the cost to be reasonable but also want to make sure that the Ipad has enough memory. I am leaning towards the 32 GB (6th gen). I would love some feedback regarding the memory and if it is enough for a 7 year old. We download movies but keep them in the cloud unless we plan to watch them that day. Also - any games that my girls plan would be through an app.

If you use it to watch movies, get a larger device (128GB at the minimum). I consider 32GB storage space too small for any device these days. Also note that you can not store data on iCloud storage alone without having the same data stored in the device.

That's difficult to say. Whether 32GBs will be enough for you, is dependent on how much content you plan on having on the iPad, and how good you are with storage management on the iPad.

Do note that storage cannot be changed after purchase, so rule of thumb is to always get as much storage as you can and that remains within your budget.

If you can afford the 128GB option, go for that. Otherwise, 32Gb is the only other option.

Check how much storage you are currently using on your iPad if you have one, and try to calculate what they would use based on that.

As a guide, 32GB is enough to store 3 to 4 HD movies.

Around 100 average sized apps.

Around 3000 to 4000 photos.
