Voice Memos iOS Bug: Renaming constantly overridden

I use "Voice Memos" a lot, and after creating a new memo, I rename the newly created file to something I'll remember. Usually I'll get about halfway through renaming the memo, and it'll return back to the default name and hide the keyboard. If I try again, I'll usually manage to rename it after a few goes, but it'll return back to the default name a few seconds later. Usually renaming will work on the 3rd, 4th or 5th try. Video here:

I've had this problem since I started using memos a few weeks ago. Occasionally it doesn't happen, but is does ~90% of the time. Doesn't occur when using Voice Memos on Mac. Does occur on iPhone & iPad.

I tried turning off location-based naming, figuring it might have something to do with that. Nope - same problem. However, if I put the phone in airplane mode & disable wifi, the problem disappears. So guessing it has something to do with delayed cloud syncing.

iPhone X, iOS version 12.1. Any thoughts welcome

iOS 12.1.1 included a fix to address an issue uploading Voice Memos recordings to iCloud. To help further isolate if this behavior may be related, try updating the iOS on your iPhone, then test if the issue persists:
