Viewsonic VX3276-mhd monitor with MSI Radeon RX 560 on Mac Pro 2010

I have the MSI Radeo RX 560 running fine on Mojave on a 2010 Mac Pro using an old Apple Cinema display. I've had to replace the monitor using a Viewsonic VX3276-mhd. I've connected using the DIsplayPorts.

The screen resolution is very blurry and inadequate at the "Default for display" resolution setting using the VX3276-FHD Display Profile. Under Scaled Display options, I see 1152 x 648, 1080i and 720p. They all look different, but none looks very crisp and clear.

I'm not very knowledgeable about graphics cards or displays but it seems this setup should have better results. What am I missing?

Thanks

Mac Pro

ViewMode Optimized Settings:
ViewSonic’sViewMode includes optimized “Game,” “Movie,” “Web,” “Text,” “Mono”, and “Mac” presets. Each presets offers specialized enhancements to gamma curve, color temperature, contrast, and brightness to deliver the optimal viewing experience for different applications.

The important issue they fail to mention is the changes to "smoothing" used to make movies look better.

You need to modify the settings in the display itself (these are sometimes referred to as "on-screen display" settings). Since there is a Mac setting, you should start with that one. and your resolution should be 1920 by 1080p, also knows as HD or 1080p.
