Airplay icon in iTunes and airplay option in OSX menu bar volume control are currently incompatible with one another

OSX 10.14.1

iMac 2017

iTunes 12.9.0.164

Airplay icon in iTunes no longer works since airplay was added to volume control in the OSX menu bar.

Remote app on iPhone also cannot chooses airplay speaker for the same reason.

Works (and worked) OK here. Try updating to macOS 10.14.2 with iTunes 12.9.2.5.
