Mainstage Corrupting Concerts after Five Patches

There are similar threads to this already but none that seem to be the exact same. Upgrading to current OS (Mojave 10.14.2) and Mainstage (3.4.2) seemed to solve the problem for others but not for me.

Basically what I'm seeing is my concerts become corrupted after I put about 5 patches in the concert. When I get to the 5th patch in the concert and try to save it, I get the spinning ball. Sometimes it will let me save it but when I attempt to open it fails to open and get the spinning ball. I'm sure the 5th patch is just a symptom of the problem and not the problem. At one point I thought the problem was Native Instruments because I'm using mostly NI for my patches. So I created patches with just MS sounds and same problem.

I saw in other threads that the problem may have been mapping or renaming screen controls. Updating to current OS and MS seemed to solve those problems for others. Mine still persist.

For troubleshooting, I've done pretty much everything I could find:

  1. Reinstall OS
  2. Reinstall Mainstage
  3. Reinstall Native Instruments.
  4. Remove *.plist and reboot.
  5. Boot to safe mode

So here's my system config:

MacBook Pro (15-inch, mid 2012)

2.3 GHz Intel Core i7

16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3

1TB SSD

MacOs - Mojave 10.14.2

Mainstage - 3.4.2

Controller - Korg NanoKontrol2

Any help and ideas would be appreciated because I've tried everything I know. MS is basically useless to me at this point. Is there a way for me to get support from Apple for this problem?

Everything you wanna do will work. I’m pretty sure it’s a setup issue and not a corruption. certan NI instruments aren’t meant to be opened in multiple instances in different patches. That was the issue I was having with battery. I use third party stuff now that I know how to set it up. I abandoned my very elaborate hardware rig in 2010 and have been full time mainstage since and it’s been rock solid. It’s just not a plug and play deal, take s lil wrangling. I spent three months building my battery instruments from my hardwardware sampler and then it kept melting down so I know your pain. I found this guy online in 2010 when I was loosing my mind trying to get this to work. He’s still my go to guy as my setup keeps getting more complex. logicprochicago@gmail.com He charges by the hour and I bet 1-2 hours might save you months of heartache. Just saying. This stuff gets easier to troubleshoot by yourself one you figure out the quirks. Best of luck

I am using primarily Native Instrument instruments for the patches and did suspect that was the problem. However, I was able to duplicate the problem yesterday using only native MainStage instruments. I have engaged Apple Support and sent them the corrupted concert yesterday. Hopefully they'll be able to determine the problem since I'm pretty much blown out of the water with MainStage at this point.
