iCloud Drive for Windows 10, what I have noticed

I have spent two days trying to work out why using iCloud Drive on Windows 10 seems to suck.

Issues I have found:

01) Initial install and sync of iCloud Drive takes a considerable amount to initialise and sync. I first installed iCloud on Windows 10 around 9 months ago, and it has taken nearly every weekend of leaving the laptop switched on for it to sync 40gb excluding one unknown file.

I have since backed up my iCloud on my Macbook and wiped the drive. It now only has 4 test folders one of which has two files in it... (4 folder, 2 files = 6 actual items in iCloud)

02) Sync speed is very very very slow, slower than 56k dial up modem. It appears iCloud downloads files in small binary segments.

03) Syncing on all other devices pause with 'waiting to upload' when Windows iCloud Drive decides to start initializing x amount of files. Initializing seems to find 10-1000's of items and due to it being very slow, syncing on other devices is paused for hours! I currently have 4 folders and 2 files in icloud, so it must sync some sort of hidden systems files somewhere as well.

04) Empty folders do not sync down from iCloud Drive, but it will sync empty folders from Windows up to iCloud. There is no way to tell it to download empty folders from iCloud to WIndows iCloud Drive...
