SMS Messages on iPad gone

Up until now I got all messages including SMSs on iPad via iPhone but suddenly it has stopped after I upgraded to 12.1.1 yesterday (on both iPhone and iPad). I don’t know how to fix it...

Make sure Text Message Forwarding to/from the iPad is still enabled in Messages settings on the iPhone
Update the iPhone to iOS 12.1.2 which came out a day or two ago as soon as you are able
Be patient. Occasional delay is not unusual as far as I'm concerned. Not that it happens very often but, when it does, it can take as long as 24 hours. Good things in life take a long time. 😉
