12.1.2 battery drain

My battery life is horrible in ios12.1.2 . My phone taking 40-50 percent without me to use. Even shareit taking 15 percent of my battery😂. I sent a 3gb movie about 20 minutes it went down to 35 from 50. Iphone 7 user😭. Feeling regretted for buying this. Should have gone for one plus

That's some crazy stuff going on, lol. Mine wasn't that bad. It was just draining really fast. Thank you for your feedback, and explaining what happened with your phone.

Something interesting just happened since my last message, less than 1 hour ago.

My battery said 11%. My phone shut off. Pressed the power button, and got the icon to plug my phone in. Plugged it in, said 11%. Really weird activity, my phone shouldn't be doing that.

My iphone 7 draining 30 to 40 percent without actually using it . Camera is biggest issue in iphone it drains like a juice battery in a glass. I charge 100 at morning 7am need to run for charger at 2~3pm and again run for charger at 8pm to get through my day. Phone is good but battery literally drains a lot.each 30 min game of pubg takes 25 percent~27 percent . 😭literally worst battery on phone i ever used.even 7 plus also lasts 4~5 games of 30min pubg😂. My friend had 7 plus for longer battery life but position is same in 7 plus too.

I cannot believe the battery drain since updating to 12.1.2 with an iPhone 6s. Not sure if it is the combination of software upgrade and older iPhones or not. At first I thought it was using a new app, but I am watching battery life drain constantly. Has anyone been told Apple will work on an update or are they saying that things are operating fine?

My phone's battery life shows 91% compared to a new battery, so I don't think it needs replacing. Any idea how to fix it or downgrade or does one need to reset everything from scratch to get it back to normal?

Exact same issue with my iphone 6S. Started noticing the excessive battery drain after iOS 12.1.1, updating to 12.1.2 did not solve the issue either. I've had my battery replaced under the battery replacement program back in August, and battery health say its at 99%. Been to apple store twice and the genius there say there is nothing much they can do since the battery reports at 99%.

Have tried setting up the phone as brand new phone after total erasure, no luck there either. I guess only thing we can do is wait and pray a new iOS release will fix this bug?

Ever since I have done the new upgrade, my battery life goes from 100% o 2% within minutes. It also just keep restarting all the time. the battery is brand new. I have to constantly keep my phone on my laptop or a power bank otherwise it just restarts all the time. This is frustrating. Can you please fix this.

I have been reluctant to update the operating system on my 5s ever since IOS 10 was implemented. I did this because of fear that my 6 year old battery would quickly fail. I just installed 12.1.2 thinking I was due for another new battery anyway. I saw the horror stories like someone putting their phone on airplane mode and screen off and they watched the battery go down below 50% is minutes but it made no sense.

With my old battery charged to 100% and in "normal" mode with screen going off after 30 seconds, the battery stayed at 100% for more than a half hour. After two hours, with no use except to check the time, it was still at 99%. That is scary, thinking I would have to go to extremes like "airplane mode" and silence notifications to prolong the battery charge. Now I am thinking that I can stay with my very old battery for now. At 84 years old, I don't use the phone to watch videos, play games, do Facebook or Twitter although I take a picture here and there. Seems like it may not "simply" be the operating system, as many people surmise. I would like Apple to look at my phone and tell me why "I am so lucky" and how it can be shared with others. Hi William. 2 things I wanted to mention. My phone and battery passed the diagnostic with Apple Tech Support. And my battery health has been at 83%, which is considered good.
