Screen recording issues on High Sierra

Hello,

I've been having screen recording issues ever since updating to High Sierra a few weeks ago. Whilst occasionally screen recording works, most of the time it stops mid recording or once stop recording has been pressed it doesn't capture. It is incredibly frustrating. This is the error message on Coccinella, I get the same error message with Quicktime Player. https://prnt.sc/lxgf7f

'Cannot Capture - There was an unexpected problem with the graphics sub-system that prevented screen capture.'

Please let me know of any possible solutions to this that you can think of.

So far I have tried, removing items from cache, force quitting the applications through terminal, redownloading coccinella and restarting the computer.
