I run video editing software and having issues which require the latest iOS, but my system shows no software update, when I tried ot download ios mohave it will not install.

Mojave on that Mac is not just another upgrade. You must have run High Sierra 10.13.6 or better at some point, to get all the required firmware updates that model requires. FileVault is not allowed. It requires metal-capable graphics card.

Your video card is not Mojave compatible, however I believe it should be possible for you to upgrade to High Sierra. (Technically this is not an update but a full blown upgrade.)
Since High Sierra is discontinued the process to now get it is a bit more complicated. Access the following page and scroll down for the link to download the High Sierra installer. (It is free of charge.)

Note: You could buy a suitable replacement video card and then you would be able to upgrade to Mojave as well.
