Timemachine's logfiles
where can I find the logfiles of Timemachine? I'd like to find out what and when Timemachine is doing something.
Thanks in advance

I found that Time Machine Editor -which I also use because of the "nervous" backup pace of TM- also has a possibility to enter the logfiles. In the menubar of Time Machine Editor go to Window >>> show Time Machine logs, and there you have it!

Thanks for your answer, which unfortunately appeared not to be very helpfull after all. Somehow this functionality has been skipped in macos High Sierra. I remember this was possible within the console. It is a pity that Apple doesn't support this functionality anymore.
Thanks anyway
Ah, sorry, I actually use Tri-Backup which does everything TM does & much more, as well as logging itself...
