I’ve been watching putlocker in my iPad and now it won’t let me watch any thing and asking me to install a vpn thingy,
I’m on my home WiFi and I don’t use the iPad anywhere else
what’s this mean and do I trust it

I think i's a scam, Apple do not force you to install any Profile .

Definitely DO NOT attempt to click on the Download and Install option. This is an attempt to attack your Apple device and/or gain access to sensitive data.
Whilst a bonafide VPN client will request access to install a certificate, it would be because you initiated the installation. What is happening here is the reverse - you are being manipulated into cliicking a link and/or install something, using with dire warnings of consequences for not doing so; this is a classic scare tactic.
