Missing Desktop
I upgraded my Mac Book Pro to Mojave, and now the extra desktop that had the stickies and movie trailers etc. is gone. Is it part of the update or? and how do I get it back?

You need to enable the Dashboard in System Preferences > Mission Control. Set it "As Space". Then you can invoke it by using "fn + F12" or dbl-clicking it's icon in the Applications folder or if you have a keyboard with its symbol which is usually on the F4 key. There's probably a symbol for it on Touch Bar equipped Macs as well.
You failed to notice an option to store your Desktop and Document folder items in iCloud when you set up Mojave.
You can search for any of them using the Finder.
