how to get my Mac desktop after updating

Hi

I just updated my MacBook Pro - but then I can not find my desktop on my Mac. I only get the desktop on my iCloud - and all the documents I am working with on my desktop I can not find.....

You have removed desktops folder from finder side bar ( right click on desktop folder ) .

In finder preferences check the box of desktops Change preferences in the Finder on Mac - Apple Support
