I would like to be able to see the current time and date in the control center.
I will be using an app that doesn't display the time and/or date and would like to open the control center to view this information quickly without exiting the application and opening my calendar for the date.
Is there any way to see this information in the control center using ios 12 on and iphone xs?

There is currently no way to add that to the control center. You can suggest it to Apple -->https://apple.com/feedback. As a workaround you can always say "Hey Siri, what time is it" (or date).

Pull down to open the notifications screen. It has the time and date at the top.
Well, this is slightly klutzy but it works. Go to Settings and put Alarm into the Control Panel. When you access it from the panel, the clock will open up in the alarm position. Then you select World Clock.
Nowhere near as klutzy as my solution! I wasn't thinking the big picture.
To be fair, I was thinking they should use the "Today" screen, that they could put some sort of widget there. When I went to access that screen, I realized I was also overthinking it.
