Where in NY? NYC sales tax is 8.875% so $24.99 + 8.875% ($24.99 x 1.08875) comes to $27.21, so you don't have enough money in your account unless you are buying something tax-exempt. And there isn't much tax exempt in NYC except food. Most of NY State has similar tax rates.

Yes, unless sales tax brings up the total to more than $25.37
