Hi Frank, nothing from MacPaw is safe. They are the developer's of the infamous CleanMyMac, which is practically malware!

Just because an app is in the AppStore doesn't mean it's safe to use. All it means is that it conforms to Apple's requirements for the AppStore.

What type of duplicates are you looking to delete? Generally speaking, you're best off doing all your cleaning manually. Since your Mac is running well there's no need for any cleaning.

That's because you're on Flags. There are lots of other groups of emojis, if that's what you mean.

The commando article is just more scare. Apple has already patched the vulnerability.

Yes, you're right BitDefender should disappear after 30 days but f-secure is still present in Safari. Go to Safari menu > Preferences > Extensions and find and delete it.

Hmm, then I'm not sure why it would show up in Safari extensions in your Etrecheck report.

TrafficLight is BitDefender and should be uninstalled. I'd also uninstall Ghostry. Your web browsing will be faster. IMO you are overly concerned about security on a home use machine. There's nothing that's going to attack your Mac through normal use and even if you should pick up any adware Malwarebytes will take care of it.

Yes, they do show on your report and should be deleted:

Safari Extensions:

Ghostery.safariextz - GHOSTERY, Inc. - https://www.ghostery.com/ (installed 2018-09-18)

Browsing protection.safariextz - F-Secure - http://www.f-secure.com (installed 2018-08-29)

TrafficLight.safariextz - Bitdefender SRL - http://trafficlight.bithttp://trafficlight.bitdefender.com/

I don't think EasyFind shows Safari extensions.
