As the article explains, Network Location Files contain DOZENS of settings which are applied at the same time when you choose one of the named Network Location Files YOU previously set up.

The way to set this up for yourself is to make all sorts of individual settings, then once it is to your liking, save it as a Network Location File so that you can return to those same settings when you return to that same (physical) location.
