SD card eject

Is there a proper procedure to eject the SD card from a lightning camera card adapter attached to my iPad?

iPad Pro 11-inch Wi-Fi, Cellular

Nope. Just pull it out. Presuming of course that you are not pulling photos off it. Obviously wait until the transfer stops then pull the card out. I have connected mine many times and never had an issue
