How to get my Bluetooth working

I got a new iPad today and I have wireless headphones. I went to listen to music so I went to connect my headphones to my iPad through Bluetooth, but the name that my headphones are called didn’t come up while it worked fine on my phone and my old iPad. Does anyone know how I can connect my headphones to my iPad?
