My iPad can’t find and sync to my Bluetooth headphones

I’ve been trying to link my Sony Bluetooth headphones to my iPad but the code for my headphones never shows up in Bluetooth settings. My headphones are always on and next to my iPad while I’m trying to connect them but my iPad still can’t seem to find my headphones. I’m able to connect my headphones to my phone just not my iPad.

It your headphones have been paired to your iPhone and your iPhone Bluetooth is on and the phone is paired with the phone, they won't pair with the iPad at the same time. Either turn Bluetooth off on the phone, to break the pairing or shut the phone down, THEN put the headphones in pairing mode to pair with your iPad.
