Blank screen

When i turn on the computer the apple icon comes up with the load bar below. it loads about half way then just goes blank. please help ????

You can attempt to restart in the Recovery Mode (Command + R) open Disk Utility and run First Aid 2-3 times on your HD. If errors appear then the HD has failed and needs replacing. If no errors appear that does not mean anything as First Aid is not 100% reliable. Either way, your best bet is to take the computer to your local Apple Store (if it's a 2012 or later) or an Apple Authorized Service Provider to be professionally diagnosed and repaired.
