When I set certain apps to be displayed as complications via the Apple Watch App on my iPhone, they show up in the watch face edit interface on the iPhone, but they do not show up on the watch. The apps that don't appear are all apple apps, such as Phone, Messages, News, Mail. I've tried in several different Infograph faces, and ht is the same in all I've tried.

UPDATE: If I modify the watch face directly on the watch, I can add the mail, messages, phone, etc. complications. It just doesn't work when adding them via the Apple Watch app on the iPhone....even though they do show up as available for the various locations.
Thank you for posting that. So I attempted those exact steps and the messages and mail app do not appear as I scroll through the available options. Is there something in my setting that I need to change?
I have tired this several times and when I twist the crown to locate the messages app it is not an available app to select. Could you post a video of this?
@fritzman86, I did not have to change any settings for those default Apple apps to show up in the list of apps available for complications. Sorry, I'm not sure how to help.
