Apple CarPlay Problem

Up until recently, my Apple car play has been working great. There haven’t been any problems whatsoever. But in the past week, my screen has been doing this thing, and I can’t navigate my CarPlay. I haven’t updated or changed anything in both my phone and my car. I drive a Mercedes CLA 250 and use an iPhone X. How can I go about fixing this?

First thing I would try is cleaning the Lightning connector port on your iPhone X. Get a flashlight and toothpick and carefully clean any debris you see. Then restart your iPhone and try again.
