why wont my Ipod sync, iTunes finds it and reads it, but won't sync anything.

See Sync your iPhone, iPad, or iPod using iTunes on your computer - Apple Support and check your sync selections. It is possible these have been reset, or are such that new items you're expecting to sync automatically aren't included.
