Series 4 Watch won’t stream music to Jabra Elite Sport earphones

I received the Jabra Elite Sport Wireless headphones for Xmas and I went to try and pair it directly with my Series 4 Apple Watch. It registers as a health device but will not allow me to listen to music from my watch. It tells me to pair Bluetooth headphones to listen to music; even though my earphones have Bluetooth enabled. Any insight on this? Any possible matches/fixes? Is this an Apple issue or Jabra issue?

Under bluetooth in setting does it say the earbuds are paired?

Try restarting the watch

You can also try unpairing and erasing the watch and set it up again

However, before that I would contact Jabra and also forget the Jabra on the phone

It is compatible but it connects as a health device. The Apple Watch doesn’t recognize the earbuds as devices for audio. It connects fine to my iPhone.

I have GPS and cellular on my series 4 as I want to run without my phone; which is why I want the earbuds to connect with my watch.
