Can not get hash tag on magic key board. When i press " alt 3 " i still get the pond sign.
I suggested you go to system preferences/keyboard/input sources and make sure that ONLY BRITISH (not British PC) is on the list. Did you try that? With that setting, pressing alt 3 has to produce the # sign.
To have the output match what is on the keys, go to system preferences/keyboard/input sources and make sure that there is only one item on the list and that it is the one you want. To get hash from alt 3, you should have only BRITISH on the list, and not US or British PC.
Hi that was the first think I tried. The hashtag did not come up only the pound sign.
Which ever key I pressed, I only got the pound sign.
i can get the hash tag key on my Mac book air but not on the magic keyboard.
Try pressing shift and 3.
