Uninstall BitDefender as per the developer's instructions and see if that helps. No Anti-Virus software or so-called “cleaning” apps are needed or recommended for Mac OS. They can conflict with Mac's own built-in security. At best they will slow your Mac by using unnecessary resources and at worst will bork your entire system.

If it continues to kernel panic download and run Etrecheck  It is a diagnostic tool that's very useful to us in finding problems. Also it will give us further specs on your Mac. After it runs post the log file here. It will contain no personal information.

Hi BDAqua

I have manually removed the AVG lines that were there. Did try to reinstall AVG to then uninstall but AVG thought it was still installed. All removed, however EtreCheck now thinks that com.adobe.AdobeCreativeCloud.plist is an antivirus software. within Launch Agents?

Any thoughts??

Cheers

Hi BDAqua

I get into safe mode and then within 30 seconds the iMac restarts. Removed 2 x 4 gb to see if that helps. As bleeping keeping happening unless I leave MAC for 30 sec with plug out.

Just restarted and trying to get into safe mode... fingers crossed. I have just posted the crash report I could grab.

safe mode is working at the moment.

any other things I could try?

cheers

Hi MacJack

Thanks for your help, removed the antivirus, even though EtreCheck sees AVG that had been uninstalled previously.

He is the Etre Check report

Typing quick in case the imac restart. Any other ideas??

Cheers in advance

AVG is still installed.

https://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?l=en&urlname=How-to-uninstall-AVG-AntiVirus-for-Mac

Also I didn't notice CleanMyMac before. That's practically malware and should also be uninstalled.

https://cleanmymac.com/how-to-uninstall-cleanmymac-3

Additionally Little Snitch will use a lot of resources and unless completely necessary should also be uninstalled.

Hi, Thanks for you help.

Remove Clean my mac, no issues with anti virus. Removed two of my ram memory cards as the imac was alerting with 3 bleeps continent. All fine, so put the original two in place of the two I removed. 2 x 8gb, 2 x 4gb. All working yesterday. Today I have turned it on and it has restarted 3 times, and once with the bleeps again. Just about to login. If I manage to get report I will send.

Otherwise I am completely lost at what is causing it.

All help gratefully received

Cheers
