Some system text on my iPhone are inexplicably in Russian, including date and time and popup messages. Menus and apps are in English, and all language settings are set to English, and the Russian keyboard is disabled. I am located in Canada. Why is this and how can I change it?

Solved: A full reset and restore did the trick. Mysterious.
Alternate Calendars in Calendar settings. Turn off or choose which one you want.
Aye. I do believe it's a code fault bug. Hopefully iOS 12.1.3 is right around the corner and would fix it. Some people claim to fix it by resetting all settings. Personally, I'd try to jog it by enabling an Alternate Calendar (not Russian, mind you) and restarting and then disabling the alteration just for the fun of it before hard-core pulling out all of the stops so to speak. Go on, then.

Nothing wrong with Russian or Cyrillic, mind you. I'm saying not that because the goal is to jog that away.
