How to find my security cameras login page

Please bare with me on my lack of sophisticated network knowledge.

My Airport Extreme died and I am using an Airport Express as my router (Airport Utility v6.3.8). Previously I could access my IP Security cameras at the address 192.168.1.xxx. I no longer can do that that and my cameras do not come up in a search in the Network Finder App I use. In that app, I previously only had an option to search for IP addresses starting with192.168.1. Now that option is not available and my option is to search addresses starting with 10.0.1. It appears my routers IP address is 10.0.1.1.

How do I search for a network camera whose previous IP address was 192.168.1.xxx? Do I change the numbers or do I somehow change my router to have an IP address of 192.168.1 instead of 10.0.1?

Can you tell us what the make and model number of your modem might be? Note.....we do not need a serial number.......just the manufacturer name and model number of the "modem".

We ask this because you may have had a previous modem that was actually a modem/router providing 192.168.1.x addresses. If that was the case, then the AirPort Extreme would have been configured in what is known as Bridge Mode to allow your "modem" to provide IP addresses for all of your devices.

Stated another way, the AirPorts do not normally provide 192.168.1.x addresses by default.

So, we first need to know what type of modem that you have to know how to set up the AirPort Express correctly to work with that device.

OK, only one Ethernet port. That means that the AirPort Express (or AirPort Extreme) cannot operate in Bridge Mode like it did with your previous modem.

Since the AirPorts do not provide 192.168.1.x addresses to devices by default, you will need to change the settings on the AirPort Express if you want to use 192.168.1.x addresses.

Here's how:

Open AirPort Utility

Click on the picture of the AirPort Express

Click Edit in the smaller window that appears

Click the Network tab at the top of the next window

Click the Network Options tab at the bottom of the window

Here you will see a listing that reads IPv4 DHCP Range 10.0.1.2 to 200

Click on the 10.0 box and you will see an option to select either 172.16 or 192.168

Select 192.168

Now the listing should read 192.168.1.2 to 200

Do not change any other settings

Click Save

Click Update at the lower right corner and give the AirPort a minute to restart

The camera might connect now. If not, you'll have to try setting it up again
