Number Changed to Primary

I'm so tired of this bug! Nothing i've read online fixes this issue and I've already reported it to apple when I first got my new XS Max. Everytime I text a non-iPhone user I get "Number Changed to Primary" every time the thread gets a new text. It's really irritating and clutters up the texting app. Can apple fix this please? I shouldn't have to hard reset my $1100 phone and set it up as new for them to fix an eSIM issue. (I don't even use eSIM btw. But I've read thats what is causing the problem)

Update: I just fixed mine. All I did was reset the settings. I didnt have to delete any messages or anything. the only pain in just having to adjust all your settings again. i.e. ringtones, alarms, notifications.

but it seems to be working now.

Just tried resetting all settings and the issue is still happening. Kind of annoying since I now lost all my saved WiFi connections and other settings and it didn't even fix the problem. Apple!! Please address this!

YES!!! I started my own thread and found a solution. I'll post it here. Just make sure you restart you phone before you try this. And I also deleted the thread that was having the problem.
