Black box on screen

After using FaceTime on my IPad, I see that a black box has suddenly appeared on the screen. The solid black box has three circles/icons along the bottom: a zoom icon, a red circle with a white telephone and a video camera with a horizontal line through it. If I tap inside the black box, the 3 icons disappear, only to reappear if I tap again. I’ve gone to Accessibility but nothing is turned on. I’ve tapped the screen 3 times, and clicked the Home button 3 times. Nothing happens.

Please help me!

Try to force-close the FaceTime App from the task-switcher screen. Swipe-up from the bottom-edge to centre-screen, pause, then lift your finger; now swipe the Facetime App window off the top of the screen.

Why not show us a screen-shot so that we can see what you see? On a 2018 model of iPad Pro 11-inch and iPad Pro 12.9-inch, to capture a screen-shot - press and hold the Top button and immediately click the Volume Up button, then release both buttons.

You can save the resultant picture - and then attach it to your reply here. Once we better understand your question, we might be able to help.
