Screensaver in Mojave

Before updating to Mojave on my MacBook Pro 13-inch 2017, i could scroll through the pictures shown in Screensaver with the arrows. If I hit an arrow now the only thing happening is that the Login pops up. I have set my Screensaver to show Pictures, as I have used with no problem in previous updates. Does anyone know how I can get back the possibility to scroll forth and back in the pictures?

Thank you for your reply! I tried to open the zip-file but my Mac is set not to open files from unknown developers. ( I'm very cautious 😳) Sounds as if you tried to make the Screensaver better. It has some features that I have been wanting, such as the path name e.g. And since you are unsure if it works with Mojave I really am a little afraid it could mess up the standard screensaver. I have put the display in one of the active corners so that I can start it whenever I want.

Best regards, Kristin

I can understand your precautions. But I don't know what else I can do. AFAIK, it is not possible to distribute screensavers (as screensavers) via the app store.

I don't think you can mess up the system. If my screensaver does not work, you just delete it again, and switch back to the standard screensaver. (You know about System Preferences ⟶ Desktop & Screen Savers ⟶ Screensavers , right?)

You could try this screen saver: http://www.informatik.uni-bremen.de/~zach/software/ArtSaver/index.html

I wrote it myself, it runs under High Sierra, but should also run under Mojave.

It has arrow keys, and a few other options - I hope they also work under Mojave.

(There is one caveat so far: if you want to use it with the Photos app and use the iCloud feature of Photos, you need to "Download all photos" for the album that you want ArtSaver to display.)

Best regards, Gabriel
