How to block USB mass storage ??

Will keep it simple.

500+ Mac desktop pc with Sierra/Yoshomite/Mojave OS with USB keyboard+mouse.

Need to block USB mass storage to prevent data copying to Flash drives.

Checked doing kextunload workaround. No working.

Please anyone help.

Thanks in advance.

I use 'USB Block' from the Apple App Store.

It blocks USB, plus networking and bluetooth (you can toggle these on and off)

I've used it for over a year and it seems OK, doesn't consume a huge amount of CPU time and hasn't caused any instability I can see. I run it on a team of about 5 Macs.

It resides on each Mac and runs in the background (menubar item) with a password to block people from accessing it.

You can whitelist USB devices as well.

Yes. In my own experience, it depends on the manager, and what they have already done to their budget, or what they fear they will do — depending on the individual. I have run into customers that have blown their entire annual IT budget and had to take out a short-term, n-tuple million loan to afford new hardware and SAP integration expenses.
