Is there a limit to the number of people that can be in a group text?

imessage groups Why does Apple make it so that we can only message 10 people at a time? And also why can we only name groups if members have other apple products? it's 2019. you'd think that by now we'd be able to text a large group, and name it whatever we'd like, instead of using 3rd party apps

IMessages Hi, I have heard that Apple thinks that an Imessage group with more than 32/33 people is supposedly a ‘business’, so Apple doesn’t support that. I have a group chat with a bunch of my friends, and all the spaces are filled because not everyone can be in the chat. I was kicked just because someone else wanted another person to be in. So, Apple, PLEASE allow a IMessage group chat to be up to either 40, 45, or even 50 people would be awesome. I know a lot of people have the same issue as mine, so please fix this. Thank you

With MMS, I believe the limit is 10.

If you are trying to send an SMS only to more than 10 recipients, try turining MMS Messaging off.
